However, for a while now, the privilege of hailing a ride has been exclusive to major towns as many of these players only focus on the cuties. In June, the company expanded its operations to Kisumu, Kakamega and Thika towns. As the festive season gets into high gear and many Nairobians are expected to be heading to the countryside, Bolt is looking to make a kill by making its services available in many more towns. As of yesterday, Bolt is now available in Nyeri, Meru, Embu, Nanyuki, Karatina, Kilifi and Malindi, adding to its earlier network of nine towns. The company has come a long way since its debut in Nairobi, back in 2016. It launched operations in Mombasa later that year, followed by the other three towns this year. The services are also available in Naivasha, Nakuru, Kitale and Eldoret regions. These were added to the company’s list of operations in October. This brings the number of Kenya towns where Bolt is available to 17. This is more than any other ride-hailing service coverage in the country today.
